0003 (Faith)
Faith remains when you're stripped of all beliefs. When reality hits and there is no place to go or hide, when you ultimately have to confront your very own self, I sat there, counted the poppies, and watched my friends laugh. I'm crying — not symbolically but literally. In meditation I meet my breath and we bond. I don't own myself, yet myself doesn't own me, and enlightenment is the process of being present.
I hate myself for the fact that I can't love myself. Breathing in, I get in touch with my suffering; breathing out, I see that it is not separate from all our suffering. For we are like the mushrooms in the forest, connected by something deeper. But I am not unarmed: I have loving-kindness and samadhi. Let a life disintegrate and watch your demons die. There is happiness, always and forever. It's nothing more than listening to the birds sing or feeling the mattress against your tender skin. Well, yeah — at some point you have to die, but don't fear death, as it is an illusion of self.
Every day I burn the prayers of my soul in the wind of a smiling cloud. Every day I breathe with the pain, and every day I gradually let go a bit more. We're all trapped in the idea of being something unique, but in fact we need each other and we are more connected than we could ever imagine. Our cells breathe in total harmony and our blood carries the same water. We all are nourished by Mother Earth, and in mud we trust.
Oh — give up, give up, and trust.
No blind faith, but the pure essence of spirituality: trust.
Listen to the sound of the bell as It vibrates in the silent air and fall into the frequency of your beloved ones open hands.
Sit quietly and listen, sit quietly and raise your hands towards the suns lovely embrace for it would never be unkind.
See the dew on a blade of grass in the soft light of an autumn morning and the way it bends.
I’m crying again and again it is not metaphorically but literally.

As time progresses and the suffering grows beyond the borders of inclusion, trust that awakening is possible and that happiness lies in the heart of every one of us. Unfold like the lotus after months of being buried in the watery dirt of illusion and reach toward what is possible. As pure as your heart is, it is like any other heart, and in that we can take refuge. We don't have to suffer. Pain is no illusion, but suffering is. Cut the roots of this evil and watch bliss radiate from the depth of your being. Drop your weapons — you won't win this fight. Stop killing and give up; only then will you see the power of now and its unbelievable power.
There is a path, there is an idea.
Be brave, walk it, become what you are, and let me hold your hand, for our tears are both salty.
